they need to use a turn so, if the have a pulley by the winch the car drive towards the start position.
It only pulls the cable, it doesn`t spool it up like a wich

If this was faked, don’t you think it would have been picked up on by the reporters? Also if you have a very good eye you can see from 1:55 – 1:58 that the car is to the left and that the winch is in the middle of the screen (just follow the cable if you cant see it) But feel free to believe what you wish.

Yeah, excellent, it’s time the sport got more exposure. Shame on you thinking it’s faked It’s a pity that we can’t really see the dynamic of the car and the glider in the same shot, it’s the depth of field of the camera lens. there must be some old 1930′s reverse car launches on you tube to look at to see the effect. Good stuff!!
I think more to the point is how boring!
After looking at 1:57 again, I CAN see the car, because I know where to look (I was in the car!). It’s about half a mile away. It is a tiny dot just under the trees to the left of the cable run.
