What kind of review is that. “It’s the best compromise between a car, bike and sports car.” Yeah, well what about handling characteristics? Top speed? Acceleration? They told us their opinion on its marketing position, and price. That’s it. That’s not a review. That’s a couple of blokes who got to watch a professional driver test it, then didn’t understand, or care about what he had to say afterward. Go get real jobs, you obviously suck at this.

@ultimateracer28 The reliant robin flipped over easily because it had one wheel in the front and two in the back. In a hard corner the weight of the car gets thrown to the front corner opposite to turning direction, hence the flipping sideways every time. Two wheels in the front help prevent that.

@jimlee21 It has a custom designed mechanical reverse gear.

@ultimateracer28 Yes, that would be a way to do it. :)

@auto123 does it have reverse? that would work

  8. auto123 September 29, 2011 at 7:01 pm - Reply

@ultimateracer28 It wont because the front is a lot more stable than the Reliant.

I can see this becoming a new style of car, if you want to call it a car type of racing or drift racing

one false move on a t-rex and you’re dead meat all over the street!

  15. shootnmove September 29, 2011 at 11:06 pm - Reply

not to mention it spins out ALOT and turning radius is less than acceptable

a $2000 dollar zx14 engine, plus a body that costs under $5000 to built.. Thats $7000, now we know business must make profit but is $47k dollars a realistic profit, I mean this thing is nowhere NEAR worth 50 grand….

In my opinion $50k can buy alot more than this resale plummeting machine

At least we see it moving… even though there’s a lot of obfuscation. Also wish they’d show it more from a human point of view instead of a snake’s point of view. I think if we’re approaching this “car” we have to crawl on the ground toward it as it seems to be the only point of view allowed. Come take a look — but don’t forget to crawl…

@GOBbluthagain thats what i dont get… how much does it cost to build this thing? all the parts come off of a motorcycle thats considerably less. is the body made of fiberglass or something? even then…. thats very expensive

This ‘car’ shouldn’t be compared with an exotic sports car, but with an Ariel Atom or KTM X-Bow.
This video is more like a advertisement then a test.
